Attorney Shari-Lynn Cuomo Shore is a Partner and Owner of Wolf & Shore Law Group and is experienced in family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, pre-nups, post-nups and post-judgment modifications and contempt. She was admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut in 2008, and received her mediation certificate in 2007.

Attorney Shore graduated from the University of Rochester in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing with Honors, and subsequently received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University. Attorney Shore has also completed the GAL/AMC (Guardian ad Litem/Attorney for Minor Children) training session at Quinnipiac University School of Law offered by the Connecticut Commission on Child Protection and was also accredited by the Veterans Administration regarding Veterans Benefits in 2010.

Attorney Shari Shore is a dedicated and accomplished family law attorney with a passion for advocating for her clients and growing her practice. She co-founded Wolf & Shore Law Group with Attorney Wolf in January 2012, after previously operating a firm together from 2009 to 2011. Throughout her career, Attorney Shore has received numerous accolades for her excellence in family law. Most recently, she was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine for the third year in a row as a Super Lawyer in Connecticut. Previously, she was honored as a Rising Star in Family Law by Super Lawyers. She has also earned multiple Top 10 awards from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys and the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys, Inc. Additionally, Wolf & Shore Law Group was honored as a Law Firm 500 Honoree in 2016, 2017, and 2018 for being one of the fastest-growing small law firms in the country. Attorney Shore has also been recognized as one of the Premier 100 Trial Attorneys in Connecticut by the National Academy of Jurisprudence and named among the Nation’s Top One Percent of attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel for four consecutive years. In 2017, she received the Vanguard Award for Innovation from the Connecticut Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.

Attorney Shore remains deeply committed to professional and community involvement. She is an active member and Past President of the New Haven County Bar Association and has played key roles in various sections of the Connecticut Bar Association. She also served as Past President of the Foundation of the New Haven County Bar, as a Board Member of the Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut, and currently sits on the Board of the Entrepreneurs Organization’s Connecticut Chapter, and is also the Moderator for her forum. Additionally, she served as the President of the Nutmeg State Networkers Chapter of BNI from 2022-2024, following her Vice Presidency role which ran from 2021-2022. She now has returned to the President role for her new networking group, the Elite Business Networking Chapter of High Achievers.

Her dedication also extends beyond the legal field into mentorship and community service. Attorney Shore coached the West Haven High School Mock Trial Team from 2001 to 2019. She has been the President of the Home and School Association for St. Lawrence School since 2023, and is also on the school’s Fundraising and Annual Golf Classic Committees. She also plays a significant role in youth sports, contributing to the Greater New Haven Warriors as the League Scheduler, and additionally as the 12U Minor Program’s Team Manager and Scheduler. Attorney Shore also founded the Northford Knights Spring Hockey League in 2025. Outside of her professional and community work, Attorney Shore enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, boating, and of course, cheering on her son at his various sporting events and activities.

Approach & Philosophy

Attorney Shore’s approach to representing clients is strategic and practical. Family law clients often come to the firm during one of the most difficult and emotionally charged periods of their lives, and she believes her role is to provide both strong advocacy and clear, realistic guidance. She is candid with clients about the strengths and weaknesses of their positions, the likely outcomes, and the financial and emotional costs of litigation so they can make informed decisions rather than decisions driven solely by emotion. She believes effective representation requires understanding what truly matters to each client and developing a strategy designed to achieve those goals efficiently. She is a strong and assertive advocate when litigation is necessary, but she does not believe that creating unnecessary conflict benefits a client. Whenever possible, she looks for practical solutions that protect the client’s interests while preserving their resources and allowing them to move forward in a manner best suited for them. Ultimately, her philosophy is that clients hire the firm to carry the legal load. They should feel informed, prepared, protected, and confident that someone is thinking several steps ahead on their behalf. Her goal is not only to obtain the best legal result possible, but to help clients emerge from the process in a better position to move forward with their lives.
